Photograph of the Atkinson family, Goole. By W. Westoby, who was based at St. John Street, Goole. Information supplied by Mr. Robert Ward (Huddersfield): "The woman at the back on the right (Mary Anna Atkinson) became my great grandfather's second wife. In the 1891 census they lived at 68 Alexandra Street, Goole and I would suggest from their 1891 ages that the photograph is pre 1890 (possibly around 1886-7). Mary Anna (1866-1939) married Tom Dunham in June 1915 and Sarah Jane taught at Alexandra Street School and became Mrs Duckles (as the related photographs imply). Mrs Duckles' son Shirley Duckles (sic) lost his life as 1st mate on the Stranraer car ferry, which foundered off County Down in the terrible storm of February 1953."
