Item Name: Amy Johnson


Scoll comprising of a grey green fabric and paper backing with a darker patterned border. In the centre is the watercolour of a bearded man holding a large red fruit (or rose bud?). The figure represents one of eight Taoist immortals and on each side of the figure are representations of clouds. Chinese or Japanese signature bottom left of panel, at top of scroll two silk ribbons and at base an ivory batten. Part of the collection donated by Amy Johnson's father in October 1958.
