Scroll shaped silver plaque with small propellor at top, fixed to a wooden shield and engraved: 'To Jim and Amy Mollison in recognition of their courageous flight from Pendine Sands, Wales to Stafford, Conneticut, U.S.A. July 22nd 1933'. This was meant to be the first leg of the Mollison's world distance flying record attempt, which ended in failure when they crashed near Bridgeport, Conneticut, U.S.A. Part of collection donated by Amy Johnson's father in October 1958.
