Black and white photograph showing W. Fairbank & Co. building at the junction of Lairgate and the market. Kemp's Corner (the junction of Saturday Market and Lairgate) was named after John Kemp, a book seller and printer, whose business was sited here. Mr. Simpson, mayor of Beverley, had a pet shop on this site. The premises were demolished in 1968, to widen the road. Card mount.
