Group of assorted writing and drawing tools and equipment, probably 19th century, all from the home of the Beaumont family of St John's Street, Beverley. Includes 3 pens with nibs; 1 nib-holder; 4 cylindrical nib containers; 1 glass bottle containing nibs; 1 bamboo? pen; 1 unidentified ivory implement with pointed end; 1 eraser; 1 ruler 16cm long with unidentified scale (marked John Beaumont); 1 cylindrical hardwood rule with hole at each end and regular pattern of marks on surface; 2 blocks of Chinese black ink.
