Black and white photograph showing old mill buildings, brick chimneys and a chalk pit in the foreground. Card mount. This was a wind powered whiting mill, situated in a chalk pit just outside of Beverley. Built by Robert Garton in 1837, it was owned by the Crathorne family until 1895, when it was sold to the owner of a neighbouring quarry.
