Base metal coin of Constantine I (wolf & twins issue), from Swaythorpe Farm, Kilham, excavations 1998 (context 36). Dated 330-341AD, although EDXRF analysis suggests that this could be a copy (and might therefore date to c341-346AD). Obverse: [URBS ROMA]. Reverse:Wolf & twins (mintmark illegible). The coin has a high lead content and also contains copper and tin, as well as about 1% silver.
