Copper alloy Northumbrian anonymous blundered styca. Obverse: blundered and illegible name around ring of pellets. Reverse: Illegible moneyer's name around cross. From hoard of 28 copper alloy Northumbrian stycas, found by metal detecting at Asselby between November 2018 and January 2019. The coins date to the period 840-867AD. 11 coins belong to the reign of Aethelred II, four to the reign of Osberht and the remainder either have blundered legends or are illegible.
