Description:

View of timber frame house, women in doorway and a group of children playing to the right. The house is of early 15th or early 16th century design, with a crown post roof and mid rail above the jetty. Subsequently it had been divided into two dwellings and once formed part of a row. It was demolished in 1956. Signed C.H. - Caroline Hartley - the artist's married name, bottom left and dated. Card mount.
