Title: Flint cores

Two examples, one of black flint and the other of dark brown flint. A core is a large piece of flint from which tools such as blades and scrapers were struck. Cores were usually prepared by trimming the edges, so that good quality well shaped flakes could be struck. Collected from Bridlington District.
