Title: Boneshaker bicycle

Restored boneshaker bicycle: a type invented in 1868. The frame, forks and handlebars are of steel, whilst the spokes and rim are of ash. The wheel rims are of iron. The rider could operate a brake by twisting a leather strap attached to the handlebars. Restored at Bradford Industrial Museum in 1984.
