Description:

Bridlington Bay, with vessels sheltering from storm near harbour, one vessel entering harbour whilst a second vessel has struck the south pier. Lifeboat on left, putting out to rescue crews, Flamborough Head in distance. At around 8' by 5', this is by far the most ambitious of Allerston's known works and must have been specially commissioned for a wealthy customer. Gilt wood frame.
