Bio:

Landscape artist who worked in oils and watercolours. He also produced aquatints, etchings, mezzotints and engravings. George Percival Gaskell studied at Cambridge and at the RCA, as well as in Italy and at Paris. He worked in London as head of Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art. Also worked widely elsewhere in this country and in Italy. He was a member of the Art Workers' Guild. Gaskell exhibited numerous works at the RBA and at the Paris Salon. He was elected to the RBA in 1896, became an ARE in 1908 and RE in 1911.
